You've decided to marry the love of your life. Now what?

Once the date is set there are so many things to think about. Choosing the venue, the wedding party, the photographer, the music, and the officiant will be at the top of that list of things to do. If you decide that a church ceremony is not right for you, I hope you will consider using my services for a personalized, unique ceremony written just for the two of you.

1.

Meeting Date & Logistics - Envisioning your Ceremony

My starting point is a meeting to get to know you, learn about your relationship, and your plans for your wedding day and the future. The questions I ask will help you to think about what your day and your ceremony will look like and how it will frame and set the mood for your entire wedding.

( I like to do this in person but if distance is an issue we can do it by email or other social media. )

2.

Tell Me All About It - A Questionnaire for Couples

I ask that the two of you answer these questions separately. You will have different as well as common needs and wishes. After you have gathered your thoughts and feelings individually you can share and discuss them, if you wish. You do not need to answer these questions if you do not wish to, or if it makes you uncomfortable in any way. You can answer some, none or all. How you answer them will not in any way change the fact that I will marry you if you wish. Don't worry about grammar or spelling or punctuation. It doesn't matter. All answers are completely confidential and will be deleted after being read. My reason for the questions is to help you define the uniqueness of your relationship and to help me plan a ceremony that conveys your special union

3.

Components & Structure - Writing Your Ceremony

Building your ceremony from start to finish may include things like procession, rituals, prayers, poems, stories, scripture, vows or pledges, I do's, songs, traditions, customs, remembrances, blessings and any number of other additions that you can imagine, need or want. You will receive a first draft for you to go over and make changes, additions or deletions. There will be draft after draft until we get it just right for you. It is your day, not mine. It needs to be the perfect ceremony for your love story.

4.

Rehearsal

If you decide to have a rehearsal, and I recommend you do, I will be there to coordinate the event for you. I will help put you, your families, and your wedding party at ease with an organized walk through one or more times until everyone is comfortable about what will be expected of them on your wedding day.

5.

Your Big Day - The Ceremony Sets the Mood

The day you have been waiting for is finally here! I'll be there to calm your nerves and provide support if needed. I pledge to give you my very best effort. I promise to make your ceremony all you ever hoped it would be.
